What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry includes custom-fit rings, bracelets, anklets, necklaces, hand and body chains, and more. We use a micro-welding process to seamlessly connect the jewelry, giving you a timeless, clasp-free look. It’s a quick, painless procedure with no maintenance required, perfect for those looking for a long-lasting, meaningful accessory.
How long will my permanent jewelry last?
Your permanent jewelry will last as long as you want it to! If you decide to remove it, simply cut the chain and save it for re-welding in the future. Our micro-weld process ensures durability and a secure fit for everyday wear.
Does it hurt?
Not at all! The micro-welding process we use at LOCKet Jewels is painless and quick, making it easy to add a permanent piece of jewelry to your collection.
What materials do you use?
We offer a variety of materials, including sterling silver, gold-filled, and luxe color enamel options. For those looking for something extra special, we also offer solid gold upon special order. We continually update our collection to provide the best in quality and style.
What are the prices?
Our prices start from $75-$90 for sterling silver and gold-filled options. Luxe color enamel and solid 14k gold pieces begin at $125+. Our pricing reflects the quality and craftsmanship of each unique piece.
What if my chain breaks?
Our custom-fit permanent jewelry is designed to last, but if your chain does break, save it! Your first re-weld is always complimentary at LOCKet Jewels. If the chain is lost, a new one will need to be purchased.
How do I care for my jewelry?
To care for your permanent jewelry, clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap. For a deeper clean, soak the piece in warm soapy water and gently scrub with an ultra-soft toothbrush. Be sure to dry thoroughly. We also recommend an annual Deep Clean service at LOCKet Jewels to keep your jewelry looking its best.
What if I change my mind after getting my jewelry custom fit and we've LOCKet "zapped"?
All sales are final once the chain is cut and welded. We believe you'll love your custom piece and suggest giving it at least a week of wear to get used to it. If you later decide you want the option to remove it, we can add a clasp for an additional cost.
Do you offer non-permanent jewelry?
Yes! If you prefer removable jewelry, we can add a custom clasp to your piece, ensuring a perfect fit and allowing you to take it on and off as needed.
Can I travel with my permanent jewelry?
Yes, you can travel with your permanent jewelry. TSA does not require the removal of fine jewelry, so your LOCKet Jewels piece can stay on during your travels.
I need to get an MRI - do I need to remove my jewelry?
You may need to remove your jewelry before an MRI. If so, save your chain, and remember, your first re-weld is complimentary at LOCKet Jewels.
Can I give permanent jewelry as a gift?
Absolutely! LOCKet Jewels offers gift cards, making it easy to share the experience of creating custom, permanent jewelry with your loved ones.
Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are recommended to ensure we can accommodate you, but we do accept walk-ins when possible. Booking an appointment guarantees a smooth, personalized experience.
How long does it take?
Each appointment takes about 20 minutes. Please arrive on time to ensure we can complete your custom jewelry piece efficiently.
How many pieces can I get in one appointment?
You can have up to three pieces welded during a single appointment. If you want more, please book additional time slots.
Who should avoid permanent jewelry?
Individuals with pacemakers should avoid permanent jewelry due to the micro-welding process. Additionally, if you have allergies to gold, sterling silver, or gold-filled materials, permanent jewelry may not be suitable for you.
Do you offer repairs?
Yes, we offer repairs and re-welds starting at $10. Please note, while we do our best to mend broken chain, if the break is not where the weld was cast, you may need to purchase a new chain. We're committed to ensuring your LOCKet Jewels pieces remain in perfect condition.
